Life Science

Welcome to the Life Science page. We will meet every day all year. In this lecture based course, we will learn what it means to be alive, then systematically go through the things that all living things have in common. That means that we will explore evolution, cells, digestion, respiration, circulation, excretion, locomotion, fighting off invaders, response systems, reproduction, and wrap the year up with genetics and DNA.  There is a focus on data analysis and research paper writing this year.

Each unit is assessed in four areas: content (30%), science (30%), mission (30%), and student work (10%).

Also, the students may work on a page for their cumulative project due in May called their Big Book of Science.

Below is a list of links to unit guides, images, assignments, and rubrics.

Science images.  While we will not have a science unit per se, it is good to understand the way science works in a science class.  And lecture.
